DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
I am pleased to announce my decision to run for Connecticut State Representative, representing the 102nd District which is located in the Town of Branford.
For the past decade, I have witnessed first-hand what good government looks like. The Town of Branford has done an outstanding job keeping property taxes reasonable and building up our “Rainy-Day Fund”. Under the stewardship of several administrations, Branford has become widely recognized as one of the best run towns in Connecticut and has a AAA Bond rating.
However, Governor Ned Lamont and his allies in Hartford wish to raid our “Rainy-Day Fund” and distribute our hard-earned property tax revenue (your money) to towns that are teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. If this isn’t stopped, we will be punished for being fiscally responsible, and our current representatives in Hartford are unwilling to stand up to their party to protect our interests.
If elected, I promise to “protect” Branford’s “Rainy-Day Fund” and go to Hartford and tell Governor Lamont and his Democrat allies “keep your hands off our money, plain and simple.”
In addition, we have seen how difficult it is to fight predatory developers who use our Affordable Housing laws as a weapon against the town. For years, the state has unfairly identified Branford as a town that lacks a suitable amount of Affordable Housing, thus allowing developers to push forward projects that lack support from our elected officials and more importantly our citizens.

Branford, like many other towns, has an abundance of “Housing Stock” that meets the state’s criteria for qualifying as Affordable Housing. Branford has many properties which DO NOT QUALIFY as Affordable Housing units because these properties are not deed-restricted, even though many offer modest, affordable rents.
If elected, I will fight to modify the existing housing regulations by removing the “Deed- Restriction” that prevents much of our existing “Housing Stock” from being classified as Affordable Housing.
For the past 10 years, I have proudly served on the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) and have become known, on both sides of the aisle, as someone who will tirelessly protect the taxpayer’s money. When I vote on issues, my only interest has ever been that of the Branford citizen. Now I am ready to protect your hard-earned taxes dollars in Hartford.
My wife Kandi and I have been residents of Branford since 1984. I earned a degree in Economics & Business from St. Anselm College and a MBA in Computer Science from the University of New Haven. I own a successful software company based in East Haven, CT providing technology solutions to financial institutions for over 30 years. My business experience is desperately needed in Hartford, especially at this time of profound economic uncertainty.
When I am not running my business, I enjoy traveling with my wife, gardening, playing golf and spending time with my family and friends.
It has been 24 years since Branford was last represented by a Republican in this seat. It is time for a change and send someone to Hartford that will represent the needs of Branford citizens.
